Does Anyone Else Have Pain In Their Calves When Ingesting Gluten?

A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys! Ive recently started having deep pain in my calves that are not exercise induced that also leaves mythe calves feeling numb. Iv read on other forums and blogs that this could be because I ingest gluten or gluten containing products. I cant seem to find scientific research on this if anyone has some info on this please shout!
Thank you! :-)

I highly recommend getting tested for various deficiencies that could cause pain in legs, to anyone who is having these symptoms. Only a doctor can really tell you what is going on. Failing this, going on a strict gluten free diet while drinking plenty of water every day, and eating magnesium rich foods and getting enough Vitamin D, etc. might help. You won't know for sure for a 3 to 6 months, depending on how severely damaged you gut is, if you are gluten sensitive or celiac. However, I still recommend seeing a doctor first. I would go for the gluten test, even though it might not work.
