We bring our own food to celebrations that are safe for us and we ask that food or meal time be the last part of our visit with relatives. This way we get to visit with family and kids play with there cousins and then do all activities prior to the food part once food is served we all eat together, but as soon as eating is over we make our exit in case something unsafe has been served.

Number one NO Alliums ( onions and cousins) allowed in Home, about half of the family carries epi-pen for onions. Gluten must labeled, gluten free is best.

With very little family left, it is my husband and I left to celebrate Christmas. My husband eats what I eat with little problems. If with the groups we belong to, I will only go if there is gluten and dairy food available. A lot here cater for vegan but not gluten free, at least in our county.

My family is decently supportive. They always ask for a list of allergies. They know I don't mind not eating everything as long as there is something I can eat. Fortunately, none of us are big on casseroles. So what you see is what you get. I am known for making great desserts. So, I bring a dessert that will taste great despite not having eggs or dairy. That is so much easier now that Just Eggs are available! Then I make sure to eat clean for 3 days before we get together, so any reactions are less.
