Allergy Testing

A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had blood tests done and am wondering how extensive a test needs to be. The ones I am looking at goes from basic all the way to hundreds of dood
Just wondering if the more extensive, more expensive test is necessary.

is this an IGG blood test or IgE? if former , dont bother , not reliable or worth money
also any allergy doc or test for hundreds of food is not a sign of a decent qualified allergy doctor.

Even the most extensive blood tests are only 85 percent accurate, a diet of "process of elimination" is said to still be the most accurate. But , I did the extensive blood test to at least give me a starting point.
