About 20 years ago I had a sudden first-time anaphylactic reaction to something I ate or drank. Allergy testing soon afterward showed pollen sensitivities to birch, sage (aka mugwort), and many grasses, but few food allergies other than mustard (which I tolerate in tiny amounts—good because it hides in everything) and rice (perhaps a false positive?).
