An allergy is a reaction to a certain proteien molecule. I have been told by my docter that allergy can develop over time with regular exposure. Something triggers the immune reaction and everytime your body recognize the foreign proteien it reacts by trying to get it out of your system. It basically works like flu or weasels or something. Your body builds a history of all diseases and environmental triggers it was exposed to and reacts in the same way when it gets exposed again. That's how we fight disease. It's the same type of thing that happens when you are allergic.
